cargo-partner launches new environmental protection initiative

First Peugeot iOn in Innsbruck carries out trips on behalf of cargo-partner in the region of Tyrol’s capital:

The international forwarding enterprise cargo-partner takes another measure to confirm its commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. An e-car of the Peugeot iOn series, in corporate design, was acquired for trips in Innsbruck and surrounding, and was put into operation on 1 December. In the course of this measure the enterprise formed a partnership with ElectroDrive Tirol in the segment of E-Mobility, to profit from synergies and make E-Mobility more public. Christoph Grasl MBA, managing director cargo-partner in Austria, says: “cargo-partner is happy to own the first Peugeot iOn in Innsbruck and hopes the colourful design in the sense of the partnership with ElectroDrive Tirol helps to sensitise the public for the reduction of emissions.“

Peugeot developed the iOn, a city car that emits zero grams of CO2 during driving and can cover 150 kilometres, thus is suited for all daily short trips. The special loading station at the location in Innsbruck, sponsored 50 per cent by ElectroDrive Tirol, allows for full loading within an hour.cargo-partner is an international forwarding company, specialising on complex services in the segments transport and storage logistics. The corporate group has more than 100 locations and 2,400 employees in 28 countries and generated a 2010 turnover of EUR 470 million.
