Cargolux establishes airline in Italy
The Luxembourgian airline Cargolux Airlines International plans to enter into the Italian market. In a press release the Management announced the establishment of a new air company named Cargolux Italia. According to the release Cargolux Italia and its strategic partner applied for a business license and certification at ENAC, the Italian civil aviation authority in December 2008. Cargolux Italia will act as a fully certified Italian all-cargo carrier as soon as ENAC grants the required permits. Start of operations is planned for April 2009. The main activities will be intercontinental air cargo services to and from Milan’s Malpensa airport.
