Ceiba Cargo awards GSA contract to ECS in Germany

Equatorial Guinea’s national airline, CEIBA Cargo, has appointed Aero Cargo, part of the ECS Group, as its new general sales agency in Germany.

CEIBA Cargo and Aero Cargo are confident of generating healthy volumes in Germany based on the country’s close business ties with Equatorial Guinea. The African country has a growing oil and gas industry, and companies from across Europe are also involved in the project to extend Equatorial Guinea’s current seaport.

ECS Group’s network of offices in Germany – covering Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich – enables it to collect cargo on a countrywide business for its airline customers.

For CEIBA Cargo, it will move shipments through its hub in Frankfurt to be consolidated onto scheduled trucking services to Vatry in France, CEIBA’s flight departure airport for its A300 freighter operations in Europe.

CEIBA Cargo and ECS Group also work together in Spain.

In the past twelve months, ECS has also been awarded contracts in Germany with Bringer Cargo, Flybe, Garuda Indonesia, National Airlines and Navitrans.
