Central fleet-management for river vessels with Odratrans

Odra Rhein Lloyd as of now general agent of Odratrans Group

Odratrans Group based in Breslau (Poland) concentrates marketing and sales, freighting, management and scheduling of its river vessels in one company. Since 1 July 2009 Odra Rhein Lloyd GmbH is the sole responsible for the central fleet management. Thus the enterprise based in Berlin and with locations in Stettin and Hamburg is the general agent of the logistics group in the above-named fields.

Odra Rhein Lloyd coordinates sales and marketing, freighting and fleet control, which had so far been decentralised to Odratrans S.A., Deutsche Binnenreederei AG, Rentrans Cargo Sp. z o.o. and other companies of the group. This means the enterprise markets, freights and controls a total vessel capacity of 540,000 tons, divided into more than 1,000 vessel units.

Besides to the focus on bulk transport, the marketing and sales division will be continued for particular business units such as special transports and containers, using already known brand names, here of the Deutsche Binnenreederei AG. Apart from the takeover of sales and marketing, freighting and fleet control activities all companies within the group will be maintained as single brands.

Consisting of 22 individual companies, the Odratrans Group is mainly held by the financial investor Fundusz Mistral from Warsaw. With logistics services in the field of river navigation between Elbe, Rhine, Main, Danube, Oder, Weichsel, Weser and the estuary ports of the Rhine, the group generated a turnover of EUR 120 million in 2008.
