Lehnkering: After the integration of the company into Imperial Holdings Limited CEO Cees van Gent is in search for new professional challenges

After the integration into the Imperial Holdings Limited effective 2 January 2011, the Lehnkering group is to loose its „captain“. Chief Executive Officer Cees van Gent leaves the company. He will take on a new professional challenge in the future. Gerhard Riemann, member of the Executive Board at Imperial Holdings Ltd and Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Logistics International B.V. & Co. KG, also becomes the CEO of the Lehnkering Group.

Cees van Gent (49) joined Lehnkering as COO of the Road Logistics & Services division in October 2007 and was appointed CEO of the Lehnkering Group in January 2008. Prior to this – after spending periods of time at Nedlloyd, Exel Logistics, DHL Worldwide Express and ABX Logistics – he was CEO at DHL Freight Germany.

Cees van Gent has continually developed and expanded the company’s market position as logistics services provider for the chemical and steel industry. Lehnkering is one of the leading logistics services providers in Central and North-western Europe with turnover totalling approximately EUR 580 million and more than 2,700 employees.
