DB Schenker receives award from AL-KO Kober Group
AL-KO Kober Group awards prize to Schenker & Co AG for its outstanding performance in sea freight importation from the Far East
The Schenker & Co AG received recently an award for its efficient and reliable handling of sea freight importation from the Far East including further forwarding on the road in Europe. The AL-KO Kober Group, a globally leading provider in the segments vehicle, garden and air technology with its headquarters in Kötz, Germany, took its 80 years jubilee in 2011 as a reason to honour its best suppliers with the “AL-KO Supplier of the Year“-award. Schenker was given an award in the Performance category.
On behalf of its customer AL-KO Kober the Schenker & Co AG branch in Graz controls sea freight importations from the Far East to the plant in Obdach, Styria, as well as the further road transport to more European countries. The reliable and efficient handling of these transportations was prized with the Performance award.
The AL-KO Kober Group has currently about 3,600 employees at 50 locations around the globe. In Austria the enterprise operates in addition to the plant in Obdach also a location Zillertal, Tyrol. Since 2011 they were cooperating tightly with Schenker & CO AG in the sea freight business.
