Personal changes within Air & Sea Management team of Gebrüder Weiss

Gebrüder Weiss: Harald Kostial is the new Air & Sea Regional Manager West – Jochen Humpeler succeeds him as Regional Manager East at the branch in Vienna

Some internal changes have taken place within the top management of Gebrüder Weiss Air & Sea. Harald Kostial, previous Air & Sea Regional Manager East, leaves the location Vienna-Maria Lanzendorf and succeeds Markus Röthlin as Air & Sea Regional Manager West at the Wolfurt terminal. In his new function Kostial is in charge of the group’s Air & Sea business in Switzerland, in southern Germany as well as in Vorarlberg. His main targets will be the further expansion of the Air & Sea organisation in Switzerland. Markus Röthlin changes to the Air & Sea main office (at the site in Wolfurt), where he will be in charge of the expansion of the international Gebrüder Weiss network in strategically important growth markets, including Africa.

Kostial’s successor in Vienna-Maria Lanzendorf is Jochen Humpeler, previous Manager Weiss-Röhlig Middle East, located in Dubai. As the new Air & Sea Regional Manager East Humpeler will drive the development of the air and ocean freight segment in the region East (Vienna, Burgenland, Lower Austria, Slovakia and Hungary). This includes the development of new business segments along the Silk Road as well as further gearing with GW continental transport. Jürgen Hammerer, active for GW Air & Sea for twelve years, lately as Trade Lane Manager in the US, takes over the management of the location in Dubai.

“Our strategic target is to develop the Air & Sea segment continuously and consolidate our global orientation“, explains CEO Heinz Senger-Weiss. “Refilling these important positions with managers from the group was our desired solution.”
