DHL Global Forwarding: New Austria-Head Ronald Friedrich relieves Eastern Europe CEO Hermann Filz

DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) GmbH has a new Managing Director. Ronald Friedreich (37) manages the enterprise since 1 February. The Manager, who is versed in all segments of the freight forwarding business, succeeds Hermann Filz, who will fully concentrate on the function of the CEO Eastern Europe.

DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) based in Vienna is specialising in the provision of services for air and sea freight forwarding (importation and exportation). At seven Austrian locations the enterprise employs around 300 persons, who handled about 120,000 consignments in the fiscal year 2009. The Eastern Europe region of DHL Global Forwarding consists of 14 countries with own locations – including Austria, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan – with around 1,200 employees in total, completed by partner companies in 10 more states.
