Expanded presence of Logwin Air + Ocean in Dubai

New Logwin Air + Ocean location in DAFZA – Dubai Airport Free Zone

Opening a second location the logistics service provider Logwin Air + Ocean improves its presence in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. A new office in the Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) has started operating on 20 January 2010. Managed by Satish Kumar, 13 employees offer comprehensive services for air freight handling.

"Opening the second office makes sense in order to further expedite the processing of global air freight transport while retaining the same high level of quality", says Hauke Mueller, Managing Director Region Europe Middle East at the Logwin business segment Air + Ocean. "This will allow us to significantly increase the number of processed shipments and improve our service to customers."

Around 300 companies currently have their main office in the DAFZA. Most of them are global players maintaining business connections around the world. Logwin customers from the technology and luxury goods industry as well as from the automotive sector are also based here. "Customer proximity is not just another phrase for us – it is something we practice", explains Hauke Mueller. "In Dubai, we have bucked the trend and succeeded in growing. With the new office we have created the conditions for continuing on this successful course."

The Logwin business segment Air + Ocean is represented at over 200 locations, of which 106 are wholly-owned, on all five continents. Around 1,900 employees provide air and sea freight transport as well as specially tailored and complex logistics solutions. The focus of their international engagement is in Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and South Africa. The global network is reinforced by partnerships and cooperation agreements, which include membership of the sea freight cooperation Group 99 and the air freight cooperation FUTURE.
