ChemFreight about to acquire Logwin location in Krems

Chemicals logistics of Logwin Solutions in Krems/Donau about to be integrated into Rail Cargo Austria Grou
 

The chemical logistics segment of Logwin Solutions in Krems an der Donau (Lower Austria) is about to be integrated into the Rail Cargo Austria Group. ChemFreight Transport, Logistik & Waggonvermietung GmbH (Vienna) has registered at the federal competition authority for the takeover of the site including personnel, assets, customers and leasing contracts. The planned acquisition represents a turnover volume of about EUR 15 million per year. The Logwin Solutions site in Krems fits well into the service portfolio of ChemFreight. According to their own statement the joint enterprise of Rail Cargo Austria and the Swiss Ermewa SA offers customised and economic optimised transport concepts, freight management, wagon disposition, wagon leasing including the organisation of supply and delivery.

Per year ChemFreight organises the transport of more than 7 million tons of products of the mineral oil, gas, chemical and fertiliser industry in single wagons as well as in block trains. Supply in the field of dangerous goods transportations is granted by the European-wide management of the complete logistics chain. With 38 employees a turnover of EUR 130.7 million was achieved in 2008.
