DPD Austria starts dispatching catalogues

DPD Austria parcel service offers new product line

DPD Austria offers an alternative to dispatch printed forms for business customers. As of now the service portfolio of Austria’s leading parcel service contains the newly developed product “DPD Katalogversand” (dispatch of catalogues). According to a statement of the enterprise the just introduced service provides a range of interesting additional options that allow using resources more efficiently for handling printed forms.

“In this case it have been the customers who gave the impetus for the new product. They were companies who were not satisfied with currently available products from our competitors. We let their demands enter into the development of our new catalogue service“, explained Rainer Schwarz, Managing Director of DPD Austria.

The company started developing the product in November 2008. In the frame of a pilot project parameters for the dispatch of catalogues were checked. Since a few days ago the product is now available to everyone. Until now DPD Austria won seven customers who will dispatch 30,000 catalogues during the next months.

DPD’s catalogue service is addressed to enterprises that dispatch catalogues, calendars, price lists, samples and other promotion items. There are diverse additional services; e.g. DPD records how many of the items, which are often expensive in production, were delivered effectively. So customers are free to decide whether the printed forms shall be returned or destroyed.
