Rhenus expands bunker business

 
Rhenus takes over inland shipping bunker unit from Deutsche BP AG

The Rheintank GmbH based in Duisburg, which is a 100%-subisidary of Rhenus PartnerShip GmbH & Co. KG, is to take over the end-user bunker unit from the Deutsche BP AG with the brands BP and Castrol as of March 1, 2009. Rheintank will take over the sales office of the Castrol Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH in Andernach ans the BP- and Castrol-bunker vessels in Neuwied, Mannheim, Haßmersheim, Regensburg, Magdeburg and Linz (Austria). This was officially announced by the Rhenus Group on February 25.

“Including our existing locations we are now able to provide our customers a comprehensive network of own bunkers to supply their vessels with fuel and brand lubricants“, said Georg Hötte, Managing Director of the Rheintank GmbH, about the takeover of the bunker unit from BP.
Since more than 60 years ago the Rheintank GmbH has been a supplier of high-quality fuel and lubricants for inland shipping. The enterprise has already been serving customers by partners at the stations in Koblenz, Mainz, Mannheim, Magdeburg, Brandenburg, Berlin and Hohensaaten. In Duisburg own bunker vessels have been used ever since the beginning.
