Kuehne + Nagel founds a wholly-owned subsidiary in Belarus

New Kuehne + Nagel company in Minsk (Belarus) fills blank spot in Eastern Europe

Establishing a subsidiary in Belarus Kuehne + Nagel Group pushes the expansion in the region of eastern Europe. On 1 February the new location in Minsk has started operating under the management of Elena Dushnjak. It forms the basis to quickly integrate this market into the global network of the transport and logistics company.

Bob Mihok, Regional Manager Eastern Europe, considers Belarus with ist geographical position between Europe on the one side, and Russia, Kazakhstan and China on the other, as a strategically important region. He sees large potential in this country, which he wants to develop quickly with the own locally positioned team. The new subsidiary replaces the representative offices in Minsk and in Brest that were opened in 1996. They were lately providing services to an increasing number of customers, particularly from the automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical, wood processing and power engineering industries.

In Belarus Kuehne + Nagel offers the full range of transport and logistics services. Apart from FTL, LTL and weekly groupage services to Europe, Russia and Kazakhstan, the service portfolio comprises also air and sea freight forwarding. Minsk airport is the point of departure and arrival of airfreight. LCL and FCL services run via the ports of Klaipeda and Riga.
