A black Monday in Salzburg: The end for Transconti and Felix Huber

Two renowned transport companies opened bankruptcy proceedings at the regional court Salzburg
 

At the regional court Salzburg two bankruptcy proceedings of transport enterprises were opened on 18 January. In the past weeks and months the economic crisis, the associated declines in turnover and the strong competitive situation among freight carriers from Eastern Europe have brought the Felix Huber GmbH in Bischofshofen as well as Transconti Transport GmbH to their knees.

Felix Huber company focuses on special transportations and on spare parts services. The core business of Transconti Transport is international traffic in the fields of FTL and LTL. The enterprise is affiliated to a group that comprises the also insolvent companies X-Transport GmbH, Nelson Transport GmbH, Hagena Handels und Verwaltungsgesellschaft and Kufsteiner Transport. The insolvency affects 25 employees and more than 700 creditors. According to the KSV 1870 (Austrian association for the protection of creditors) Felix Huber GmbH, with 38 employees and 90 creditors, has liabilities of EUR 1,65 million.
