Christoph Reder Transporte: First Euro 6-customer of Iveco Austria
Four Iveco Stralis HI-Way trucks equipped with Euro 6-engines to immediately operate within the fleet network of Christoph Reder Transporte
The Christoph Reder Transporte company is the first to operate Stralis HI-Way Euro 6 vehicles of Iveco, the manufacturer of utility vehicles, in Austria. With immediate effect four units of the environmentally friendly truck are driving in the colours of the Upper Austrian enterprise.
„We are always aiming to meet current requirements and we attach great value to a modern fleet, that has state-of-the-art technology,“ says Christoph Reder at the official delivery of the first Euro 6-vehicles in Austria, during the open house days of Case New Holland Österreich, which is like Iveco a company of the Fiat Industrial group, in the Steyr tractor factory, St. Valentin. The ambiguous situation due to the Tyrol night driving ban has been the reason for the early acquisition of the Euro 6 tractor units.
The first new Euro 6 vehicle has also a special trailer. The vehicle of the Van Eck company is the first doublestack deep-freeze trailer providing space for 84 roller containers (30 on the lower, and 54 on the upper deck) and provides a gapless cool chain. This tractor unit is mainly used for deliveries in Upper Austria and Styria.
The Christoph Reder company was founded as an individual enterprise in 1991 in Hörsching/Upper Austria, and is headed by Christoph Reder and his wife Gerlinde. The company’s core business is refrigerated transport for the food industry. They offer industry solutions with special vehicles as well as classic liner transport and international long-distance haulage with swap body vehicles. The fleet is consisting of 45 tractor units, including ten new Iveco Stralis. Christoph Reder Transporte has currently 60 employees. An additional parking space was just recently added to the location in Hörsching.
