These days a far-reaching personnel change is to take place in the Port of Hamburg. Ms. Claudia Roller, CEO of Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. (HHM), will retire by the end of this year. The expert in terms of maritime economy in Germany has been a Member of the Board since April 1, 2008, and subsequently the CEO of Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. (HHM). Since then she had been showing great commitment in managing the marketing organisation of the Port of Hamburg together with her board colleague Axel Mattern.

Claudia Roller is retiring for health reasons. “It has been a difficult decision for me to withdraw from working life. In the frame of my tasks and the work for HHM, it has been a pleasure for me to represent the interests of our members from Hamburg’s port industry, the metropolitan region and numerous cooperation partners," says Claudia Roller.

Claudia Roller will withdraw from her active work in the position as CEO of HHM as of July 1, 2013, and will assist the company in an advisory capacity until the end of the year. In the course of her career the trained shipping merchant gained professional experience in shipping companies as well as in port operation, and has dealt with the challenges of the seaport industry and transport organisation in the hinterland.

The management of HHM lies in the hands of the Board member Axel Mattern from July 1, 2013. The Supervisory Board of Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. will be dealing with the question of Claudia Roller’s succession. With manifold activities within the country and abroad, HHM contributes to boost the competitive position of the Port of Hamburg.
