Clear uptrend with Augustin Quehenberger Group

Augustin Quehenberger Group wants to increase its turnover to EUR 405 million in 2011 and invests into new locations

 

The Augustin Quehenberger Group registered a good business development in the year 2010. The strategic holding for the management of quality-oriented logistics enterprises, with its headquarters in Straßwalchen near Salzburg, generated a turnover of EUR 372 million. “Thus we exceeded our target by 3 per cent“, CEO Christian Fürstaller and CFO Rodolphe Schoettel said at a press conference in Vienna. For the current year the duo aims at increasing turnover by 9 per cent to EUR 405 million. As for the results, they target a black zero, which shall be succeeded by sustainable profit in the coming years. Quehenberger Logistics achieved a positive result in 2010. Augustin Network shall reach this goal by 2011. For 2010 the Group shows –compared to the previous year – a clearly reduced loss of a single-digit million figure.

In 2011 they plan to invest EUR 34 million into measures to unify IT structures, into continuous modernisation of the fleet and to expand infrastructure. Christian Fürstaller announced to the press that they were planning to establish a logistics facility Belgrade, to open additional offices in the Russian Federation and to launch a major project in Upper Austria. Staff shall be increased by 120 to 130 persons. The Augustin Quehenberger Group GmbH comprehends the Augustin Network GmbH, acting as a quality provider for European-wide transport management, and Quehenberger Logistics GmbH, a specialist for network and contract logistics in Central and Eastern Europe. The corporate group has currently about 2,100 employees at 76 locations in 16 countries.
