CMA CGM’s container ships enter the cruise market

CMA CGM has expanded the job description of its container vessels to include "cruise ship", and now offers travellers the opportunity to discover the world of merchant shipping.

CMA CGM is offering these "cargo cruises" aboard the biggest vessels in its fleet, the new 13,800 TEU containerships.

The company also offers cruises aboard its flagship, the CMA CGM CHRISTOPHE COLOMB, which has a private deck and luxury cabins, as well as a range of facilities such as a lounge with TV equipment, a library, a fitness room and a swimming pool.

Passengers are in daily contact with the crew and take their meals at the Captain’s table.

Cargo cruisers can choose voyages from Asia to North Europe; Asia to the Mediterranean; Asia to the US; North Europe to the Caribbean Sea, Brazil, Portugal and Spain; Le Havre to the West Indies; and the Round the World voyage: Europe to the US and Australia via the Panama Canal.
