Container operator IMS is expanding a broad range of actions

IMS expands its "Austria Container Shuttle" and prepares from its new headquarters to open an office in southern Germany:

From the start of August 2011 the container operator IMS – Intermove Systems increases the rail service frequency of the "Austria Container Shuttle" to 16 departures per week, providing a capacity of more than 1,450 TEU. "We are currently operating 12 departures from the northern German ports to Vienna and Enns. However these capacities have been used to their full extent in the past months", says Wolfgang Tomassovich, CEO of the company. "There are also shortages in capacity at the terminals. Therefore we are very pleased to have more slots available", he adds.

The IMS headquarters have been relocated to a larger site on 8 July. The new address Trillergasse N° 8 in Vienna’s 21st district offers more than 620 m² adjusted office area equipped with state-of-the-art technology. "There have been no more options to expand the old site", Wolfgang Tomassovich explains the reason for the change of location.

On 1 September the container operator wil expand its activities in Germany by adding a location in Landshut in Greater Munich to its network. Dietmar Kanzler, who was presented as an experienced sales manager in Wolfgang Tomassovich’s press release, will assume the management of this office.

IMS – Intermove Systems was established in 1993 as a private container operator. The enterprise acts as a full service provider with branches in Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Switzerland as well as worldwide partnerships, providing all services related to combined transport. Around 50 employees handled 120,000 TEU last year, thereby generating a turnover of about EUR 50 million.
