Cooperation of Dachser Food Logistics and Papp Italia
Dachser Food Logstics and Papp Logistics start cooperating in Italian transport Dachser Food Logistics and Papp Italia are connected by a tight cooperation since 19 February. Subject of the cooperation is the refrigerated food logistics from Germany to Italy and back. Transport times are shorter for both directions. Customers have obligatory access to electronic status information via Internet. The change of the Italian transports was a response to the importance of this market as an economic partner of Germany in the food segment, they say in a joint press release. The Papp Logistics Group operates four locations that are certified according to ISO 9001- and IFS Logistic without exceptions. In addition to Munich and Verona Papp is represented in the Palatinate Ramstein and in Austria – Kundl. The service portfolio The service portfolio comprises contract and distribution logistics, but also a wide range of value added services. At last 151 employees generated an annual turnover of EUR 72 million. The transport volume amounted to around 70,000 loads per year. The internationally acting logistics service provider Dachser moves almost eight million food consignments per year in its food logistics segment at 26 locations in Germany. Established in 1997, the Italian subsidiary of the Munich traditional company Balthasar Papp has its headquarters in Pradelle di Nogarole Rocca. More than thousand recipients in Italy get their goods regularly via the food logistician’s central hub near Verona. The major part of deliveries to Italian dealers is rendered directly by the enterprise. For smaller loads there are connections to an extensive corresponding web.
