Metrans (Prague) sets course for Rotterdam

Metrans Group launches new intermodal service between Rotterdam and Prague

 

In addition to their operations from/to Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Koper, the container operator Metrans (Prague) expands the operating range in seaport-hinterland traffic to another European sea freight hub. As of 13 April the enterprise has a blocktrain on the connection from Prague-Uhrineves to Rotterdam v. v. in its program. In the initial stage three weekly rotations will be offered. In Rotterdam the service calls at the terminals RCS, ECT and Euromax.

Container consignments with destination or departure points in Bohemia and the Austrian border regions are handled via the terminal in Prague-Uhrineves. Moreover Metrans will offer daily shuttle train connections to Dunajska Streda from/to Hungary and to southern Slovakia. The blocktrains from Prague to Zlin and back serve the regions Moravia and Northern Slovakia. Western Bohemia and Bavaria are covered by daily shuttle trains from Prague-Uhrineves to Pilsen and back.
