Greiwing takes over special division of Logwin AG
Logwin Road + Rail Germany sells tank and silo activities to Greiwing Group Logwin AG (Grevenmacher) disposes of another business segment. As part of an asset deal the company sells the tank & silo activities of the Logwin Road + Rail Germany to GREIWING logistics for you GmbH®, which is based in Greven in North Rhine-Westphalia. The sale is effective as of 1 April 2010 and is part of Logwin’s initiated streamlining of land transportation activities in its business segment Road + Rail. The tank & silo business is run from sites in Ludwigshafen, Ulm (with a branch in Burgberg) and in Weiden. The focus of its activities is the transportation, warehousing and handling of products for bulk logistics. Around 100 employees are currently generating annual sales of approximately EUR 22 million. GREIWING logistics for you GmbH® is a family-owned, medium-sized, internationally operating logistics company. Up until now they have operated from six sites and employ more than 300 workers in the main business fields of bulk logistics, food bulk logistics and other logistics projects. Through its purchase of the tank & silo activities from Logwin Road + Rail Deutschland GmbH, the Management seeks to strengthen its core competencies through the optimised use of synergies. |
