Dachser sector solution for the chemicals industry

Combination of safety, speed, quality, IT solutions and trained staff is Dachser Chem-Logistics’s sector solution:

Being able to combine customer-individual interests and high quality standards, Dachser Chem-Logistics recommends its sector solution for the chemical industry. Thanks to decades of experience in transport and warehousing they were a competent provider to handle dangerous goods and temperature-sensitive goods, as the enterprise announces in a press release. They emphasise on the standard European transport network, which provides quick and flexible access to all selling and provision markets, as another asset.

To maintain security in this demanding sector, Dachser trains well over 6,100 staff for dangerous goods. In addition to the major dangerous goods representatives, 122 regional representatives are at work. Another 530 persons trained to handle dangerous goods are at work in the locations. “The high density of the network, elaborated IT solutions and the sophisticated training level of our employees make us an ideal partner for customers from the innovative chemicals sector“, emphasises Sonja Kelich, Location Manager Dachser Hörsching.

An IT-based control guarantees that volume limits and storage regulations are met. Automated processes organise, control and document the transport of dangerous goods. IT systems with eLogistics applications allow for complete transparency and quickly available information. According to Dachser this makes a contribution to optimise the supply chain. Independent assessors have positively evaluated the enterprise at 13 European locations, according to the CEFIC “Transport Service“ questionnaire (SQAS). More stations are to follow.
