Days of worry for Otto Prantner-company

Insolvency of transport enterprise Otto Prantner

The Otto Prantner-company, based in Strass im Zillertal (Tyrol), has a reason to worry. At the beginning of this week the bankruptcy proceedings have been started at the regional court Landesgericht Innsbruck. The insolvency affects 18 employees and 20 creditors. The total liabilities amount to around EUR 1.15 million, according to a statement of the Austrian association for the protection of creditors – KSV 1870. Too high bank and leasing liabilities, the enormous competitive pressure and declines in turnover are indicated as reasons for the insolvency. Moreover there were inconsistent costs, related to the sales revenues registered at last.

National and international transportations of liquid food and refrigerated goods form the core business of the Otto Prantner-company. The enterprise was founded in 1966. At last the fleet had comprised 11 tractor units and 12 special trailers.
