DB Schenker serves Russia from a single source

DB Schenker concentrates services to Russia and expands logistics terminal in Lvovsky

The market presence of DB Schenker in Russia was rearranged and concentrated. The organisation of the two companies Schenker Russija ZAO and Schenker Ltd. was merged. The background is their striving for a more effective integration of services in the land transport segment (road and rail), air/sea freight, contract logistics and supply chain management.

For a new logistics project the capacities at the location in Lvovsky, in the south of Moscow, were considerably expanded. Another facility was added to the around 25,000 m² hall area for contract logistic services and the 6,000 m² cross docking terminal. The 5,400 m² new building hosts an around 60-metres packing station for parquet.

With more than 500 employees at 20 locations and 60,000 m² warehousing area DB Schenker counts among the leading providers of logistics services in the Russian Federation. The portfolio comprises a national groupage cargo network with daily departures from Moscow. The network is operated with 250 own trucks and ranges from St. Petersburg and Moscow to Krasnodar in the south and to Novosibirsk in the east.
