DB Schenker starts operating new logistics terminal in Prague

DB Schenker’s new logistics centre in Rudna close to Prague offers 8,000 m² hall space with bonded warehouse and dangerous goods area

The headquarters and logistics centre of DB Schenker Logistics‘ Czech branch have recently been moved to a new location. In the business park in Rudná the company operates a total of 90,800 m²  with 8,000 m² hall area that is equipped with 92 loading bays, including six gates for jumbo trailers. In the administrative building about 270 employees are currently working on around 4,700 m².

The new site in the Czech Republic has its own bonded warehouse and dangerous goods warehouse, and is equipped with a technologically state-of-the-art security system. More features of the object include an inhouse photovoltaic charging station and a system for solar-heated water on the company’s premises. Moreover a liquid gas station allows fuelling vehicles with compressed natural gas.

“The good transport connection allows significantly faster and more effective goods traffic. Modern technology and safety systems ensure continuous high quality of the logistic processes“, DB Schenker Logistics states in a press release. The new building was completed within seven months after the foundation stone had been laid.
