DB Schenker: Thomas Ziegler is the new head of the branch in Linz
Thomas Ziegler celebrates his comeback with Schenker & Co AG: The logistics expert is at the head of the Linz branch since the start of April
Thomas Ziegler has just assumed the position of the head of the Schenker & Co AG branch in Linz. The experienced logistics expert has been working for DB Schenker in Wels from 1994 to 2000, and was responsible for Eastern Europe. During his study at the University for Applied Science in Steyr and at the City University in Hong Kong he had been working with several projects for the branches in Wels and Linz until 2003. Then the 38 year-old was holding several management functions, lately with Gefco Austria.
„We are happy having found Thomas Ziegler as a highly competent and motivated new director for the branch in Linz,“ says Kurt Leidinger, CEO of DB Schenker Logistics in Austria.
Thomas Ziegler is married, has two children and spends his free time with sports activities such as running, football and skiing. He is passionate about motorcycles. He was born in Traiskirchen and dedicates most of his spare time to his family.
The Schenker & Co AG in Vienna operates as the Regional Head Office for Southerastern Europe. This region includes Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey. In this area about 5,300 persons are currently employed by the enterprise.
