Ziegler Group announces the foundation of an affiliate in Russia
Opening of Ziegler branch in Moscow: Goal of the Belgian freight forwarder is to develop a multimodal activity for exports to Russia
With the launching of Ziegler Russia on 1st April, 2014, Ziegler Group (Brussels) expands its footprint in the growing markets. Relying on a high professional team that justifies expertise of over 10 years in the country, the new affiliate provides special know-how on this complex market and accompanies all shipments of customers to Russia, from loading to final destination, including customs clearance.
The ambition is to develop a multimodal activity for many customers who export to Russia. This includes services in the fields of road transport, rail transportation, seafreight, airfreight an storage. Groupage and full truck service are provided with consolidation of shipments in Poland and a weekly connection to Russia.
Ziegler Russia is based in Moscow. In a few months, it will open a second office in a logistics complex located south of Moscow including a customs terminal with bonded warehouse, rail connection as well in the near future, a cargo airport.
With more than 3,500 staff members, 120 operational sites, 930,000 m² of warehouses and an invoicing figure of EUR 1.3 billion in 2012, Ziegler Group (founded in 1908) is amongst the European leaders in the multimodal transport organization (road haulage, airfreight and seafreight) and logistics.
