The experts of Schenker Deutschland AG are operating in a secret mission these days. Top secret and with the strictest security precautions the forwarding company transports the premiere models of well-known automotive manufacturers from Baden-Württemberg to the most important car fair of the US, the North American Auto Show in Detroit (10 to 23 January 2011). “As logistics partner we care for the highest level of secrecy for the transport of the vehicles", says Wilhelm Etzel, manager of the business location in Stuttgart for land transport/logistics and fair/special transport of Schenker Deutschland AG. On the way to Detroit the German fair logistics team and specialists of DB Schenker in the US will make sure the secrets about design and technology will remain safe until 10 January 2011. Schenker Deutschland AG transports 23 vehicle models by freight aircraft to Detroit in the US-state Michigan. The old-timers as well as the latest serial models will be tied down to air freight pallets in order to avoid any damage. For absolute premiere vehicles DB Schenker delivers containers directly to the production plants of the automotive manufacturers.
