DB Schenker „trucks“ the 21st Life Ball in Vienna
DB Schenker’s Life Ball-trailer truck in Arabian Nights-design carries scenery to Austria’s capital
Following the recent renewal of the partnership agreement between Life Ball and DB Schenker until 2015, the logistics company is an official Life Ball partner for the sixth time. Among many sets and decorations, the Vienna office of Schenker & Co AG transports the 8 metres high Amadè scenery, which will be a part of a golden cupola on the main stage on the Vienna city hall square. The team is not only in charge of transportations for the Life Ball itself but also for all of the transportation in connection with the AIDS Solidarity Gala in the Hofburg.
The 21st Life Ball takes place on 25 May 2013 on Rathausplatz and in Vienna city hall. Its theme this year is “Arabian Nights – it takes the night to see the stars”. Transportations for the Life Ball are carried out with a branded trailer truck which is about 14 metres long, and a small IVECO carrier, which is also branded in Arabian Nights design and is mainly used for transportations in the vicinity of the city hall square and Hofburg. A DB Schenker security-container in the design of the style-bible with the theme “the vizier and his harem” is available for the erection works at the city hall square. For the third time DB Schenker is providing all workers on the construction site with hard hats.
