Deutsche Transport-Compagnie: Enhanced offering

Acquisition of special equipment for EUR 1 million strengthens the position of DTC as a partner of the metal-processing industry

Deutsche Transport-Compagnie GmbH & Co. KG (DTC) is expanding its offering for the metal-processing industry. By the end of the year the transport and logistics service provider with its headquarters in Nuremberg will have invested around EUR 1 million into special equipment for transportations in connection with the recycling of production waste on behalf of the metal-processing industry. The company’s goal is to offer customized transport solutions for all business segments.

"The amount of metal residues varies depending on the size and specialisation of the production company. Accordingly, the logistics for interim storage, transport and use of raw materials must be ajusted to the requirements," says Manfred Heuer, CEO of DTC. DTC has developed a series of own ‘gadgets’ to meet the individual needs of the companies. These include, for example, roll-loading floors with different high sides, which can be loaded and unloaded from all sides. Likewise, there will be special steel boxes that are available to customers as temporary storage.
