DFDS and LDA expand frequency on Calais-Dover route

Ferry traffic on Calais-Dover route and return to be expanded significantly from the end of April

The ferry shipping companies DFDS and Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) double their liner service frequency for rolling load on the Calais-Dover route and return. In a press release the two companies announce the chartering of a second vessel. Sailing under the French flag Barfleur will complement the service scheduled currently operated with Norman Spirit from 27 April.

The new vessel enables DFDS and LDA to increase their current offering from five departures per course and day to ten frequencies. Including the ferry operations from Dunkerque to Dover the offering of the two ferry shipping companies between northern France and southern UK will comprise 22 departures per day and course.
