Regular DHL Road Freight Service between Europe and the Middle East

Regular road freight services based on routes between Europe and the Middle East are the latest achievement among the service range of DHL Freight. Shippers can take advantage of the newly established truck services in form of lower transport costs and simpler processes in comparison to airfreight, and shorter transport times in comparison to seafreight.

„With this new choice, it is really worthwhile for our European customers with clients in the Middle East region to take another look at their shipment structure,“ says Thomas George, CEO DHL Freight. „Using DHL’s Road Freight Service between Europe and Middle East can lead to remarkable cost savings and an optimized supply chain.“

DHL operates 16 major distribution centres in the Middle East, numerous local terminals and a modern truck fleet. To guarantee short transit times, all European shipments are consolidated in 13 major gateways and forwarded to the Transit Center in Istanbul.

From there, the cargo is fed into the Middle East network. Each shipment is assigned a unique code and can be tracked online. In addition, DHL Freight takes care of the administrative work, such as customs clearance, letters of credit and all risk-insurance services.
