M&M expands in Volga region
M&M VL Logistics-company accomplished a successful start-up. The joint venture formed by M&M Militzer & Münch and the Russian trade chain Vysshaya Liga (VL) from Kostroma (in the north-east of Moscow) started operating logistics in October 2008. In December the venture already handled 150 deliveries per day to branches of the VL Group-trade chains in the regions Kostroma, Yaroslavl and Ivanovo. The core of the M&M VL Logistics package is the 7,700 square metres logistics warehouse in Kostroma, where order-picking is offered for currently 1,500 items from the segment of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). The inventory and the orders are managed by aid of the Oracle-data base and the Russian version of Quantum Software Qguar. Therefore the experience of the Polish company M&M Logistik Sp. z o.o. is useful.
