DHL, Post and GW are the first to win the „Hermes“ – award

Austrian Economic Chamber honours Austrian transport and logistics companies: DHL and Austrian Post catch trophies for sustainability and training; special prize for Gebrüder Weiss
 
The Transport and Communications sector of the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO) has recently introduced the Hermes Verkehrs-Logistik award to honour the work of Austrian transport and logistics enterprises. In the middle of this week the award in the categories safety, sustainability, training and education was festively presented for the first time on an evening event in the presence of many guests and business representatives in the Haus der Wirtschaft.
 
The award winners were: Austrian Post (sustainability), DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) GmbH (trainind and education) and Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik AG & Co.KG (security). Heidegunde and Paul Senger-Weiss from Gebrüder Weiss Holding AG were honoured with a special prize for lifetime achievement and special performances in the transport industry. This special prize in the category “Entrepreneur“ was presented by WKO sector president Alexander Klacska.
