DHL Supply Chain opens mega hub in Hong Kong

Contract logistics specialist DHL Supply Chain to implement investments of EUR 300 million in North Asia before 2015
 
The worldwide leading provider of contract logistics services DHL Supply Chain started operating a new MegaHub in Hong Kong. The hub located in the port area Tsing Yi consolidates the company’s Hong Kong operations and offers customers greater business flexibility and cost efficiencies in the face of developing business needs.
 
Representing a total investment of EUR 63 million, and offering nearly 84.000 m² of warehouse space, DHL Supply Chain MegaHub Hong Kong is a significant milestone in the company’s expansion of its regional infrastructure. To date, this DHL division has invested a total of EUR 224 million in facilities in their North Asian sub-region over the past three years, and projects to spend another EUR 300 million from now to 2015. Recent investments in the region include new warehouse facilities in China, South Korea and Japan.
