DSV Air & Sea launches short sea traffic in Europe

Short sea traffic with DSV Air & Sea links Europe’s major ports to Maghreb countries and Turkey:

The globally acting logistics service provider DSV Air & Sea adds short sea operations to its range of services. The new product line DSV Short Sea links Europe’s coastal countries on and Mediterranean countries on the seaway since recently. The offer comprises calls in all major European ports, the Maghreb countries and Turkey. House-to-house services are available on demand. Apart from the seaway transport these include also pre and on carriage with river vessels, trucks and railway.

The new product offers also scheduled transit times. “From the port of Hamburg, the ports Le Havre, Oslo, Riga and Bilbao can be reached within three days“, explains Tobias Schmidt, Regional Director Central Europe, DSV Air & Sea. “In times of lack of drivers, rising fuel costs and congestions on the roads, short sea can offer a convincing alternative.“ To experts it makes sense to use short sea services in completion, or as an economical alternative to overland transport. In the past DSV has been implementing these short routes as individual solutions. DSV Short Sea gives customers a wide range of products to choose.

DSV A/S is a global supplier of transport and logistics solutions, headquartered in Brøndby, Denmark. The enterprise has offices in more than 60 countries all over the world.
