Duchy of Cornwall puts high bay warehouse up for sale

A brick built warehouse in Poundbury, Dorset, has been put up for sale by the Duchy of Cornwall’s estate for £2.5m.

A 41,940 sq ft industrial unit in Dorset is being sold vacant after the former occupant expanded and relocated to a larger workspace in Poole.

The building has 30,741 sq ft of industrial accommodation and 11,199 sq ft of offices with accompanying facilities, including a staff canteen, locker room and yard.

As an alternative to the sale, the building is available for let at a rent of £199,750 per annum.

Alison Williams of Carter Jonas, said: “The workspace is an unrivalled opportunity for a business to secure a large, flexible space in an imposing brick building with obvious aesthetic appeal.”

Chris Wilson, director, Goadsby, added: “It is highly unusual to be able to have a substantial modern, high bay HQ warehouse that can so comfortably sit alongside residential neighbours.

“There are a number of fabulous design features including windows, doors, gates, pillars and a superb second floor meeting room. Significant interest has already been received from a variety of business and investors and it is hoped that an early transaction can be concluded.”
