Eichholtz GmbH in Hamburg celebrates 80-years-jubilee

Hamburg-based throughput and warehousing operator Eichholtz GmbH provides full service for raw food material and non food

In 2012 the traditional throughput and warehousing company Eichholtz GmbH celebrates its 80-years-jubilee. Since its foundation in 1932 the enterprise with 30 employees and four apprentices evolved from the classic “Quartiersmann Firma Eichholtz & Consorten“ into a full service provider around raw food material and non food. The owner-managed company adheres until today to its core business – handling, throughput and storage of raw food material such as nuts, seeds and pulses.

Today as a full service provider Eichholtz takes over all tasks related to raw food material and non food. The focus has always been on refinement of seeds, nuts, dried fruit and pulses. Their service range covers also picking and packing of goods, qualty control, cleaning of raw material, as well as repacking from 500 grams to 5 kilograms in every kind of packaging. In addition they take care of the entire customs clearance according to the ATLAS procedure and in cooperation with longstanding partners they handle the logistic organisation of container transportations from and to the warehouse. Eichholtz’ customers are mainly enterprises from the food industry and the retail segment trading with raw food material.

For the coming years Eichholtz has in the pipeline further investments into quality and diversity of services related to their core business. In the current year 2012 they are acquiring a new vacuum facility for packaging. Different apprenticeships promote the youngs working in specialised storage companies.
