Emirates Airline sets course for Luanda


Luanda in Angola – 17th African destination of Emirates 

 

On August 2, 2009, Emirates launches a non-stop-liner service from Dubai to Luanda (Angola) and back. In the initial phase three course pairs per week will be on the schedule (ex Dubai on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday). An Airbus A330-200 offering 12 tons of air freight capacity per flight will be deployed on the route.

Luanda is the 17th destination in Africa within the route network of the international airline. The most important importations to Angola are consumer and electronic goods, telecommunication products as well as devices and spare parts for the oil industry. Exportations from Angola are dominated by fruit and plants.
