Emirates’ liner service to Vietnam is ready for take-off

Emirates SkyCargo is to offer daily transport options for air freight traffic with Ho Chi Minh City from 4 June 2012

As a hub between the destination Ho Chi Minh City and around 120 other destinations in the global route network (including Vienna) Emirates SkyCargo presents its new liner service linking Dubai in the Untied Arab Emirates and Vietnam. With the launch of a daily passenger service on 4 June, Emirates SkyCargo will use the weekly belly-hold capacity of the Emirates airlines aircraft. Ho Chi Minh City is to become the 14th point in the Far East served by the Arabian airline.

Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies in Asia. Emirates Airline will operate the Dubai-Ho Chi Minh City-route and return using an Airbus 330-200 offering 17-tonne cargo hold per flight. This means 240 tonnes of cargo capacity per week. From 28 October a Boeing 777-300ER will replace the Airbus, providing an additional 80 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity on the Vietnam trade.
