Special transports: Takeover of the Lübeck-based company Europatrans marks another step towards further growth of the EMS-Fehn Group

Taking over Europatrans, a Lübeck-based heavy cargo specialist, the EMS-Fehn-Group, Leer, pursues its path of growth. Europatrans is a leading special transport company operating in traffic with Scandinavia, mainly from and to Finland.

“Europatrans is an excellent addition for us and will give a further boost to our strong market position in traffic with Finland,“ says Manfred Müller, Managing Director EMS-Fehn Group. With approximately 40 transport units, the acquired company had a strong market position.

Europatrans is a leader in accompanied special transports to and from Finland and has profound knowledge in traffic with Scandinavia. This fits perfectly with EMS Log and its strong focus on the Finnish market.

The EMS-Fehn Group consists of 17 companies with branches in Leer, Emden, Papenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Lübeck, Helsinki, Riga, Bolzano, Genoa, Palermo, Durres, Skopje and Ft. Lauderdale. The group includes chartering, logistics, special transport, port handling, yacht transport, crewing and shipping companies with currently 19 ships. The EMS-Fehn Group has 230 employees ashore and 220 on board.
