——————————————————————————– Expanded intermodal offering to Switzerland by TFG Transfracht

TFG Transfracht starts operating 21 trains per week on the route to Switzerland and serving Frenkendorf and Niederglatt terminals

TFG Transfracht’s Switzerland program for intermodal transport is bigger since 18 January. In addition to the previously served terminals Basel Bad and Rekingen, also Frenkendorf and Niederglatt are now connected to the AlbatrosExpress network.

In cooperation with DB Intermodal, TFG Transfracht has increased the weekly frequency from 12 to 21 rotations of the trains operating in import and export from and to the German seaports Bremerhaven and Hamburg. This increases the offered capacity from around 1,900 TEU to 3,300 TEU per week. “The improved offering meets the requirements of our customers in Switzerland”, managing director Gerhard Oswald explains the motive to change the services.
