Expansion of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics in Lithuania

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics moves to new office at the airport Vilnius, Lithuania

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics moves to a new facility at the airport of Vilnius, Lithuania. The reason for the relocation to a bigger site was increasing air freight activities of the past five years, which resulted in capacity bottlenecks in the segments warehousing and office area. The new location in Vilnius offers currently 2,500 m², with the option to be expanded to 10,000 m² of warehousing area and 600 m² office area.

„Last year we were able to increase ocean freight volume by almost 200 per cent. Also transit to Russia has been growing. Our target for 2012 is a total growth of at least 30 per cent, also in air freight, regarding our new location“, said Michael Mihm and Patrick Nahte, CEOs of Hellmann East Europe.

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has been active in Lithuania since 2007. Today 33 employees are working in Vilnius, 12 in Kaunas and two in Klaipeda. In 2011 they generated turnover of EUR 9.5 million. The branches provide classic services in the segments road, air and ocean freight, but also rail loading and 3PL services. Up to 3,000 shipments are handled per month via the regular liner services throughout Europe and Hellmann’s global air and sea freight network.
