Extended customs licenses for Logwin in Macedonia

Logwin AG in Štip continues to handle customs formalities autonomously:

The global logistics service provider Logwin has been given an extension to its customs clearance licenses at its location in Štip, Macedonia, for another two years. The confirmation of the customs licenses means that the logistics service provider will be able to continue to work independently of the operating hours of the customs authorities. Five employees perform customs formalities autonomously around the clock.

Around one-fifth of the 5,500 m² warehouse is available for this purpose. The bundled service saves customers time with imports as well as exports. “Depending on the destination and the means of transport, the time saved can run into several days,” says Trajan Angelov, Country Director of the Macedonian national business.

Since 2010 Logwin employees have been performing customs clearance independently of the Macedonian authorities – 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Three different licenses enable Logwin to provide comprehensive customs services: authorisation as consignee and consignor for transit shipments, performance of local customs clearance for export goods and the right to use own customs seals. Logwin Logistics staff in Štip have also the same access to the electronic customs administration system as Macedonian customs officers.
