DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) grows in LCL business

Ocean freight division of DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) has set ambitious targets for the coming years:

DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) is striving to become a “solid number 3“ in the market ranking on the medium term. Managing Director Ronald Friedreich refers to this as “an ambitious but solvable project“ in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. As for the implementation of this project, in addition to new FCL/LCL concepts, the company reinforces also its commitment in the segment of sustainable logistics.

In the current year the forwarder is registering a stagnating volume in the FCL segment at about 36,000 TEU. In the segment of LCL traffic Ronald Friedreich and Christine Poechhacker, Deputy Head of Ocean Freight Austria, are expecting a volume increase of about 40,000 m³. DHL Global Forwarding (Austria) has about 40 exmployees in its ocean freight division, working at the locations in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
