FESCO restructures its container business
FESCO Transportation Group has reorganised the management system of its container business, forming a single logistics integrator responsible for the management of the group’s business directions and companies that provide various types of container services. The logistics integrator, named FESCO Integrated Transport (FIT), will oversee the provision of services for maritime, rail and road transportation of containerised cargo, handling at terminals, as well as integrated logistics services, intermodal shipping and services of refrigerated cargo. Thus, the business units of Fesco Integrated Transport (FIT), Fesco Lines Vladivostok (FLV) and Transfes will become a single integrated company. The main objective of the restructuring is to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of FESCO’s container business by consolidating and vertically integrating container business management into a single centre with common standards of business, and operational accounting and planning with one client interface.
