Frigologo gains a footing in deep freeze logistics

Major investment of Frigologo Kühllogistik GmbH in Sattledt provides new opportunities for storage and transport logistics in the food industry

Investing EUR 17 million into a new property in Sattledt Frigologo begins a new chapter of Austria’s food logistics industry. The new building is characterised by its division into four separate temperature zones: a section for frozen goods (-22 to -28°C), a section for articles from the segments Mopro (dairy products), meat, sausage products, deli and convenience (2 to 8°C), a sector for chocolates, sweets, bread and bakery products 12 to 18°C and a hall for products without cooling such as canned or pasta.

The 10,000 m² object makes the founder of the Frigologo company confident regarding a positive business performance. In a press conference on 10 March in Sattledt the entrepreneur considered the new building at the Voralpenkreuz motorway junction a unique offer for the goods flows of both existing customers and new business partners. The Frigologo organisation can now respond more targeted to the needs of clients like domestic/foreign producers and trading companies.

In line with establishing the new food logistics centre with around 120 employees in full operation Frigologo will invest EUR 12 million to modernise its fleet in the course of this year. They have ordered 80 Euro 6 trucks, Fritz Herzog informed the press.
