Official opening of the UPS Costumer Centre at the Cargo Center Graz

The new branch in the Cargo Center Graz increases the capacity of UPS Austria; customers throughout Styria will be served from there

UPS Austria, the express and logistics provider, is moving its Styrian branch from Graz Airport to the Cargo Center Graz and has inaugurated the plant earlier this week. The new UPS Costumer Center Graz is located on the area of Cargo Center Graz Nord, in the immediate vicinity of the A9 motorway (Pyhrnautobahn), and can be reached via the motorway access Werndorf.

The logistics service provider hires the building that was built on purpose for UPS from the Cargo Center Graz Nord Projektentwicklung GmbH & Co KG, its managing director Franz Glanz is pleased with the resettlement and highlighting the partnership with UPS.

The property can accommodate 25 delivery vehicles. Four positions are available for loading and unloading trucks. The plant has more than 1,500 m² of warehouse space and over 270 m² of office space. “We are moving to a new and bigger site which offers ideal transport connections via road, rail and air. In line with that, our sorting capacity will be increased significantly“, Rick Fletcher, Managing Director Austria & Slovenia at UPS, said in an interview with the logistics magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.

The new UPS Center in Graz allows the company to respond to the growing volume of shipments in this region. Moreover the state-of-the-art site increases the sorting capacity per hour by 30 per cent compared to the previous capacity at Graz Airport. UPS offers shippers and recipients in Styria access to a global network and markets in more than 220 countries and regions.
