Gefco launches new logistics platform in Romania
Gefco’s logistics platform in Joita near Bucharest to start with comprehensive service portfolio:
The globally acting transport and logistics group Gefco has statrted operating a new logistics centre in the Prologis industrial park in Joita near Bucharest. The 4.500 m² facility offers a comprehensive service portfolio to customers from different industrial segments. It ranges from warehousing and stock management to goods throughput and order picking.
The first shipment that was handled at the new location, consisted of 15 computers Gefco Romania donates to a school in Macea, a small village in Kreis Arad in the north-west of the country. “This donation, that leaves our new warehouse as the first piece of cargo, is a symbol for the contribution that our enterprise makes to the economic and social development at our locations“, explains Christophe de Korver, managing director Gefco Romania.
